If the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) actually reaches $1, then its market capitalization will be $589.2 trillion. This figure is much larger than the total wealth of the entire world, which is estimated to reach $454 trillion by the end of 2022.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Supply is Huge 

There are several factors preventing the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) from reaching $1. One of them is a very large token supply.  

In comparison, Bitcoin only has a maximum supply of 21 million coins, while Shiba Inu has more than 589 trillion tokens in circulation.

Shiba Inu has tried to overcome this problem with a token burning program, namely by sending tokens to dead wallets to reduce the amount in circulation. 

In theory, the more tokens burned, the higher the price of the remaining tokens. However, the number of tokens that must be burned for SHIB to reach $1 is huge.

If Shiba Inu (SHIB) price is to reach $1, almost 99.99998% of the current total supply must be burned. That means only 11.4 billion tokens will remain. 

However, the current burning rate is still far from sufficient. By January 2024, only about 1.2 billion tokens had been burned, or about 14.4 billion tokens per year. 

At this rate, it would take approximately 40,916 years to burn the number of tokens necessary for the price to reach $1.

Additionally, although the burning process can increase the price per token, this does not necessarily increase the overall value of an investor's assets. 

If supply decreases drastically but demand does not increase significantly, the overall economic value will not experience significant growth.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) Price Opportunity to Break $1

Based on current calculations and data, it is very unlikely that the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) will reach $1 in the near future, including in 2025.

The main inhibiting factors are the very large token supply and the burning rate which is too slow.

While it is possible that positive sentiment in the crypto industry, friendlier regulatory policies, or wider adoption could help SHIB prices rise, the target of $1 per token is still too far away. 

So, you should be more realistic in setting expectations and understand that price spikes like in 2021 are unlikely to be repeated in the near future.
