Bitcoin Price Predictions By Analysts

Some analysts project that Bitcoin prices still have the potential to reach new highs in mid-2025. 

Even so, CryptoQuant CEO, Ki Young Ju, believes that the bull run phase may be over, and Bitcoin prices will likely stagnate or decline in the next 6-12 months.

Meanwhile, the rising wedge pattern on the BTC chart indicates the possibility of a major breakout in the near future. 

If Bitcoin manages to break through the resistance level, the price could increase significantly. However, if rejection occurs, prices could fall further before finally recovering in 2026.

On the other hand, long-term predictions remain positive. Bitwise CIO, Matt Hougan, even predicts that Bitcoin could reach $1 million (around Rp. 16.5 billion) in 2029. 

History shows that even though Bitcoin experiences major corrections, in the long term the price always returns to strength.

The Effect of the FOMC on Bitcoin Prices

Currently, Bitcoin is around $83,200 (around Rp. 1.37 billion) ahead of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. The market is still waiting for the Fed's decision regarding interest rates, which are expected to remain in the range of 4.25% - 4.5%.

If the Fed maintains its high interest rate policy, then risk assets such as Bitcoin will likely experience further pressure. However, if there is any indication an interest rate cut is imminent, Bitcoin and the crypto market as a whole could get a positive boost. 

Currently, based on CME FedWatch data, the chance of an interest rate cut in June reaches 66%.
