1. Transaction & Governance Fees: The $BABY token is used as a gas token for processing transactions and executing smart contracts on the network. Owners of this token can also take part in voting to make decisions in the ecosystem.

2. Staking & Security: Babylon adopts a dual staking model, namely using $BABY and $BTC tokens. Stakers of these two tokens receive rewards in the form of BABY tokens, while helping to secure the network.

3. Long Term Incentives: With an integrated reward and staking system, Babylon creates sustainable incentives for active participation from the community and other stakeholders.

However, the supply of these tokens is arbitrary inflationary up Babylon can mint new tokens over time. 

This inflation rate can be changed through the governance mechanisms implemented on the Babylon Genesis network.

Following are the details of the $BABY token allocation in Babylon tokenomics.

1. Community Incentives (15%): For community incentives, managed by the Babylon Foundation and unlocked, so it can be used at any time to increase participation.

2. Ecosystem Building (18%): For project development, marketing and acquisitions. 25% of this allocation is immediately available at network launch, the remainder will be unlocked automatically linear for 3 years. 

3. R&D and Operations (18%): For operational funds and research development. 25% opened immediately at launch and the rest opened gradually. This token allocation can also be moved to the community or ecosystem if necessary.

4. Early Investors (30.5%): This token follows the schedulel 4 year vesting. The first unlock occurred one year after launch, at 12.5%. The remainder unfolds linearly over the next 3 years.  

5. Tim Inti Babylon (15%): For Babylon team members with a 4 year vesting scheme with cliff 1 year ago opened linearly. The first unlock occurs one year after launch or after one year of service.

6. Advisor (3.5%): For project advisors with vesting and unlock schedules following the core team provisions.
