Satoshi Nakamoto Talks About the Advantages of Ripple and XRP

"As a trust system, Ripple is unique in spreading trust rather than centralizing it." 

This confirms that Ripple has a different mechanism compared to traditional financial systems which often rely on central authorities. Ripple is designed to handle cross-border transactions quickly and efficiently. 

Unlike Bitcoin which relies on a proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism, Ripple uses a validator-based consensus mechanism. This makes transactions on the Ripple network faster and more energy efficient compared to Bitcoin.
