Jakarta, October 23, 2026 — Bitcoin's price movements highlight the importance of examining multiple market indicators together before making investment decisions.

Short-term price changes, investment product fund flows, and global economic developments can provide different perspectives on the condition of the crypto asset market.

Bittime, a Digital Financial Asset Trader (PAKD) registered with and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), reminds investors that no single indicator can determine Bitcoin's next price direction.

Through its 3-in-1 ecosystem, which includes Spot, Staking, and Futures, Bittime provides a range of digital asset services with distinct characteristics and risks that users need to understand.

Bitcoin Between Support and Resistance Levels

According to CoinMarketCap data compiled on the morning of October 23, 2026, Bitcoin was trading around USD 81,600, down approximately 2.3% over 24 hours.

During that period, the price moved between USD 81,567 and USD 84,840. Previously, Bitcoin had approached USD 85,000 on October 21 before coming under renewed pressure.

In its internal research for October 2026, Bittime identified USD 80,000 as monthly support, while USD 85,000 was highlighted as a resistance level to watch.

These two levels serve as technical analysis references for monitoring price movements, not as guarantees that Bitcoin will hold, break through, or reverse direction at a particular level.

Bittime Chief Operating Officer Ryan Lymn believes investors need to distinguish between indicators that help assess market conditions and certainty about future price movements.

“Technical levels can help investors develop market scenarios, but they should not be used as the sole basis for decisions. Price movements also need to be assessed alongside liquidity, sentiment, and economic developments that can change market participants' behavior,” Ryan said.

Why Does Global Market Sentiment Matter?

Declines in risk assets, including Bitcoin, can coincide with shifts in sentiment across global financial markets. A MarketWatch report highlighted pressure on technology stocks and investors' growing tendency to take a more cautious approach to risk assets.

Federal Reserve interest rate expectations, US Treasury yields, and movements in the US dollar are also indicators worth monitoring. When inflation expectations change, investors may adjust their asset allocations, including their exposure to instruments with high volatility.

Bittime's internal research also highlighted US annual inflation of 3.7% in September 2026 and Brent crude oil prices reaching around US$111 per barrel on October 20 as developments worth monitoring.

Both factors can contribute to an analysis of inflation risks and the outlook for monetary policy, but neither is sufficient on its own to explain Bitcoin's price movements.

“The crypto market's response to macroeconomic conditions can change over time. Therefore, investors should not immediately conclude that a single economic data point will push prices up or down. Market context and the reactions of market participants also need to be taken into account,” Ryan explained.

ETF Fund Flows Do Not Always Move in Line with Prices

In addition to technical and macroeconomic indicators, fund flows into US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) can be used to observe changes in demand through these investment products.

According to a Cointelegraph report, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of approximately USD 526.7 million on October 19, 2026. The figure then slowed to around USD 23.2 million on October 20, 2026.

These data show that ETF fund flows can change significantly over a short period.

Net inflows may indicate increased demand through ETF products, but their impact on prices still depends on overall market conditions, including trading activity outside ETFs and the availability of liquidity.

Therefore, ETF data should be compared with price movements and trading volume over the relevant period. A single day's fund flows are not enough to establish a medium-term trend or predict Bitcoin's next price direction.

Domestic Crypto Activity and Price Movements

In Indonesia, the OJK recorded crypto asset transaction value of Rp23.16 trillion in August 2026, up 12.87% from Rp20.52 trillion in July 2026. The number of consumer accounts at digital financial asset traders also reached 23.21 million in August.

These domestic figures provide an overview of crypto asset trading activity in Indonesia.

However, an increase in transaction value does not necessarily mean that asset prices are rising. Trading volume can increase when investors respond to opportunities, adjust their portfolios, or navigate market volatility.

For investors, distinguishing transaction activity from price direction is an important part of interpreting market data. Assessments should consider several indicators together and be tailored to each investor's time horizon and investment objectives.

Understanding the Risks of Using Bittime Futures

Bittime Futures allows users to take a long position when they expect prices to rise or a short position when they expect prices to fall. This feature offers flexibility for developing strategies under different market conditions, but it also carries the risk of losses and liquidation, particularly when leverage is used.

Ryan emphasized that the ability to take positions in either market direction does not eliminate uncertainty about price movements.

“Users need to understand leverage mechanisms, margin requirements, and liquidation risks before trading through Futures. Setting position sizes and loss limits in advance can help build discipline, although it does not guarantee protection against losses,” Ryan said.

Bittime urges users to check information from trusted sources, understand product characteristics, and avoid relying on a single technical indicator, ETF data point, or macroeconomic development as the sole basis for trading decisions.

In rapidly changing market conditions, a measured approach helps investors assess risk more comprehensively. However, crypto asset prices can still fluctuate sharply, and no indicator can guarantee future investment outcomes.
