Whale Sells 10.97 Million ONDO Tokens
The recent massive selling action by one of the whales was enough to move the ONDO market. The whale released around 10.97 million ONDO tokens worth $13.57 million (around IDR 221 billion).
The large investor suffered a loss of around $3.8 million (around Rp. 62 billion) in just three months of ownership. This sale had a direct impact on the price of ONDO which fell to around $1.36 (around Rp. 22,200) per token.

MAlthough there was a significant decline in sales, some analyzes suggest that the impact may not be as big as imagined in the long term.
Although the current price of ONDO is still far from the highest level recorded at $2.14 (around Rp. 34,900) in December 2024, there are indications that this token could again show potential for price improvement.
Ondo Finance Unlocks 1.94 Billion ONDO Tokens Simultaneously with the Release of TRUMP Memecoin
On January 18 2025, Ondo Finance unlocked around 1.94 billion ONDO tokens. This is equivalent to 19.41% of the total existing token supply.
This unlocking process coincides with one year of ONDO being publicly traded after the ICO in May 2022.
Although the release of these tokens generally has the potential to cause an increase in the number of tokens in circulation, some analysts argue that the impact was foreseeable.
They believe that this token unlock event will not have a big impact in the long term.
However, what is interesting is that this unlock process occurred on the same day as the launch of the TRUMP memecoin. This attracted the attention of a large portion of the crypto market's liquidity, which actually flowed to TRUMP and reduced ONDO's appeal.
Although transaction activity on the ONDO network is increasing, especially among retail investors, there are concerns that reduced interest from whales could slow further price recovery.

ONDO Price Prediction: Bullish or Bearish?

Looking at the latest technical data and market dynamics, there are indications that ONDO price could potentially move in a bullish direction. However, there are a number of challenges that need to be faced.
ONDO recently managed to break out of a downward channel that had been pressuring prices for several weeks. Now, ONDO price is eyeing an important resistance level at $1.62 (around Rp. 26,400).
Technically, indicators such as Stochastic RSI and Parabolic SAR show the potential for further increases if price manages to penetrate this level.
However, several factors remain obstacles. The large sales carried out by whales and the existence of a fairly strong resistance level provide room for skepticism.
Additionally, the growing number of addresses with zero balances could be a sign that many investors are starting to abandon their positions. All of this indicates that even though there is potential for an increase, ONDO prices are still characterized by uncertainty.
