Last August, the Dogecoin Foundation signed the “Dogecoin Manifesto” which emphasized that Dogecoin is a crypto asset “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” 

This manifesto is designed to capture the community's vision, namely creating crypto assets that can be used for everyday needs, such as buying coffee or paying rent.

The main principle of the Manifesto is utility. The Dogecoin Foundation believes that the more useful an asset is, the higher its adoption.

Over the past 8 years, Dogecoin has relied heavily on Bitcoin C++/QT-based desktop wallets.
