TON Collaborates with Tether to Easier Access to USDT Stablecoin

Bittime - TON Foundation and Tether, these two giant crypto companies are collaborating to increase the accessibility of USDT (Tether Dollar) on the TON blockchain globally. This is an ambitious initiative with a target of integration with more than 100 local partners throughout the world.

Previously in April, Tether officially introduced USDT on the TON blockchain which was integrated with the Telegram wallet. Since then, millions of USDT transactions have been recorded on the TON network.

Expand USDT Access

TON Foundation via its official Twitter account recently explained USDT's integration strategy with various local payment service providers in Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

The tweet emphasized the collaborative efforts between the TON Foundation and Tether's Business Development team, affirming their commitment to providing USDT access "to everyone, everywhere."

Furthermore, the official TON Foundation blog explains the plan. This initiative is led by a special team consisting of 13 Business Developers (BD) from Tether and the entire BD TON Foundation team. These professionals are tasked with facilitating the seamless integration of USDT on the TON blockchain with partners and local communities around the world.

To date, several integrations have been established with regional payment gateways and processors in various regions, such as Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

This new initiative seeks to expand that integration in the coming weeks and months. The TON Foundation plans to work with fiat on/off ramps, as well as global and local exchanges, to expand access and trading of Toncoin and USDT on the TON blockchain.

Excellent Performance of TON Blockchain

This year, TON recorded an extraordinary performance, surpassing many other popular cryptocurrencies. According to a report from on-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant, TON has surged more than 100% year-to-date, driven by positive network developments and a sharp increase in on-chain transactions.

TON's strong performance is largely due to its affiliation with Telegram, a social media platform with more than 900 million users. TON's relationship with Telegram has played an important role in increasing the visibility and use of blockchain.

Successfully Attracting Big Investors

Last month, Pantera Capital made what it called its “largest investment ever” in TON, citing the network's potential to capture millions of crypto users from Telegram. News of Pantera's investment further strengthened the rally of the TON token, which rose more than 10% in 24 hours.

Additionally, the launch of Notcoin, a play-to-earn game on the TON blockchain, has generated significant network activity. With over 34 million users participating in token mining, Notcoin has played an important role in driving on-chain activity and increasing the price and activity of the TON network.
