Friend.Tech Denies Platform Closure Plans, Features Remain Normal!

Bittime - Web3 social platform, Friend.Tech, denied plans to close or discontinue the Friend.Tech application or website. This statement is in response to user concerns.

The news of plans to close Friend.Tech emerged after some users, especially the Friend.Tech development team, decided to relinquish control over smart contracts on September 8. 

Despite concerns, Friend.Tech ensures that this decision was taken in the long-term interests of users. Friend.Tech also confirmed that this action will not be influence current functions

Control of Friend.Tech Smart Contract

Before, on September 8, the Friend.Tech development team relinquished control of their smart contracts. The admin and ownership parameters are set to 0x000…000, which means there is no longer any possibility for anyone to change the functionality or add costs.

However, this change does not impact web clients operated on Friend.Tech sites. The site will continue to function as usual, and all features that users have used will remain. 

Friend.Tech emphasized that this is part of the platform's commitment to maintaining the integrity of smart contracts on the Base network, as well as maintaining user satisfaction.

No Fees for Friend.Tech Development Team

Apart from changes to the smart contract, Friend.Tech also emphasized that currently there are no costs from the smart contract or the Friend.Tech website that go to the development team. 

All profits and costs associated with using the platform remain entirely with the user ecosystem. This means, users don't have to worry about any additional fees collected by the development team in the future.

With no controls on smart contracts and a commitment to not adding new fees, Friend.Tech hopes to continue providing secure and sustainable services to its community.
