The total prize available in this program is $1 million, which will be paid in USD Coin. The program encourages developers to thoroughly investigate any critical flaws in upcoming Firedancer validator clients.

According to Cointelegraph, this bug bounty program is the first for Firedancer. Immunefi states that any bugs discovered in Firedancer v0.1 will be investigated and fixed within 24 hours on business days.

Firedancer Development

Firedancer development was led by Cantelope Peel, an anonymous engineer at Jump Crypto. Peel oversaw the development of Firedancer v0.1 and announced the bug bounty program on July 3. The development team is currently testing and developing initial iterations of Solana's consensus algorithm and fork options.

Firedancer is implemented using the C and C++ programming languages ​​to accommodate high trading volumes. Anatoly Yakovenko, CEO and co-founder of Solana Labs, stated that Firedancer has the potential to significantly increase the speed of the Solana network.
